Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Conduct research and analysis of the mining sector, environmental challenges, and their implications on Afghanistan’s development.
  2. Advocate for sustainable mining practices, responsible resource management, and environmental conservation.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to raise awareness among stakeholders, including policymakers, industry professionals, and the public, about the importance of sustainable resource management and environmental protection.
  4. Organize workshops, seminars, and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in responsible mining, resource management, and environmental conservation.
  1. Establish partnerships with local and international organizations, industry experts, and educational institutions to promote best practices in natural resource management and environmental protection.
  2. Collaborate with other Divisions within the Afghanistan Professionals Hub to ensure a comprehensive approach to sustainable development.
  3. Maintain a database of resources related to natural resources management, mining, and environmental conservation, accessible to the members of the Afghanistan Professionals Hub.

Membership

The Natural Resources (Mines) and Environment Division should consist of a diverse group of individuals with expertise in mining, natural resources management, environmental conservation, and related fields. Members should be committed to promoting sustainable practices in the mining industry and environmental preservation in Afghanistan.

Meetings

The Natural Resources (Mines) and Environment Division should meet regularly (e.g., monthly or quarterly) to discuss progress, review initiatives, and plan future activities. Meeting minutes should be documented and shared with the broader Afghanistan Professionals Hub community.

By joining APH, members will be provided with a user name and password for the online portal of the Afghanistan Professionals Hub, where they will be able to access events, workshops, conferences, training programs, and can communicate with other experts, access online resources, feasibility studies, development project reports and research materials.
