Overview
Afghanistan Professionals Hub

In the aftermath of the fall of the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, an exodus of educated and accomplished professionals from the country led to an unparalleled brain drain. This mass migration has had profound ramifications on the growth and development in diverse sectors, including but not limited to education, health, agriculture, rural development, natural resources management, economics and banking, infrastructure development, private sector development, rule of law, women empowerment, and social affairs.

Recognizing the critical role of human capital in fostering a peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan, a concerted effort was made to reverse this brain drain. This led to the establishment of a comprehensive, central information hub, designed to harness and optimize the rich human resource potential within and outside of Afghanistan for the collective development and progress of the country.

The Afghanistan Professionals Hub (APH) was thus formed as a professional, non-political, and impartial organization. Its primary aim is to mobilize experts, professionals, and experienced cadres across diverse professional fields both within Afghanistan and in diaspora, providing them with a platform for active participation in the reconstruction and development of Afghanistan.

APH serves as a nexus for Afghan and international experts to collaborate, share experiences, and implement development programs in Afghanistan. This collaboration extends to feasibility studies, research, and best practices in the design, management, and implementation of programs and projects across varied sectors.

APH not only facilitates communication with national and international organizations and agencies involved in the implementation of various programs and projects, but it also encourages knowledge sharing by organizing seminars, workshops, conferences, and publications.

By maintaining an extensive registry of experts and professionals across all sectors, APH actively invites all Afghan experts, scholars, students, and retired professionals, both residing within and outside Afghanistan, to join this platform. The overarching aim is to foster a cooperative environment that enables everyone to work together towards a prosperous and peaceful Afghanistan.

How can I contribute to this portal and share my expertise?

Finding the right employee to fill a position is vital to the future of your company and is a time consuming process. According to a small business survey, 30% of small business failures are blamed on poor hiring decisions.  We get to know your company’s culture, the challenges, and the benefits, so we can be the face of your company and market your job openings as a personal extension of you at a reasonable price.

Recruiters typically charge anywhere from 20 to 35 percent of the starting salary while we charge an hourly rate.  Recruiters have competing interests they are trying to please (trying to meet your deadlines, their agency deadlines, working with multiple companies and multiple positions) and the temptation is very real to push through a candidate that may not be right for the role. They don’t have a long term relationship with your company.  We are only trying to please you, and get you the best candidate.

How can I access the resources and opportunities available on this portal?

Once logged in, navigate to our “Resources” and “Opportunities” sections to explore and access a variety of materials and possibilities, including research documents, webinars, project opportunities, and more.
